9 Years of LCC!
In August we celebrated our 9 year anniversary! We are a bit late to the celebration but better late than never! It has been nine years of success, challenges, learnings, and great client work! To celebrate the occasion, here are nine of our favourite projects and moments from the last nine years:
1.First Client-The Colombian
One of our very first clients and our very first small business client in the food industry! The Colombian Coffee & Roastery trusted us with designing their logo and their packaging. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of improving their brand one project and location at a time. When we first started working with them, we were both in the initial stages of our entrepreneurial journey. Look how far we’ve both come!!

2. Wheatland County
In 2017/2018 we designed an annual environmental report for Wheatland County which went on to receive an Applied Arts Community Award for Publication Design. This was our very first award in the design industry. It felt great to be recognized for our hard-work alongside some other talented designers. It wasn’t just the award that meant that much but that in a sense, we could say that Lianne Charlene Creative was official!
3.Holiday Sweetness
We have had the pleasure of designing many of the advent calendars for The Violet Chocolate Company. Their Holiday Sweetness for the Season was one of our faves. We went on a press check and were able to witness to the gold foiling process applied to our design. We are print nerds so seeing the behind the scenes process to gold foiling was a major highlight! Though the chocolatier has closed their doors, this will always be a favourite memory!
4. The biggest Passion Project
In 2020, we started The Branded Good as a way to stay creative during the pandemic and to give back to the community. The Branded Good continues to be a passion project, investing our time and skillset to causes we’re most passionate about. Since then we have had the opportunity to collaborate and launch 7 collections and raise nearly $37,000 for charity!
5.Succeeding Together
Because of our work with The Branded Good, we were given many opportunities to apply our knowledge in apparel to our client work. Flagstaff County trusted us with their Succeeding Together line of Apparel as a way to encourage local pride in the region. This was our first commissioned project in apparel graphics outside of The Branded Good! The line of apparel received a Marketing Canada award at the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) conference.
6.New STudio Space
In 2022, we completed a major renovation to Lianne’s home by adding a separate space and office for the LCC headquarters. It was a year long endeavour but we finally have a home for LCC staff and a place where the magic happens! To see more photos of our space, see our 7 year anniversary blog post!
7.Unbelts brand refresh
In 2022, we had the pleasure of working with Unbelts on their brand refresh. This was one of our favourite branding projects as we were able to design and visualize many aspects of their brand and expand our creative strategy to their marketing materials.
8. Canadian Women in Design
In 2023 we were elated to be Interview by Canadian Women in Design alongside some other very talented and high recognized designers in our industry. It’s our pleasure to represent women in design and women in business. In the interview, we dove into our personal lives, reflected on The Branded Good, and what it means to be a woman in design. 9. Asian Heritage Month
Our most recent passion project for Asian Heritage Month is a highlight for the studio. Our studio is owned by an Asian-Canadian Lianne Cawley and asian representation in the entrepreneurial and design community is incredibly important. We collaborated with Bonafide Media & PR and poured much of our personal experiences into the creative to create a piece that reflects the ideas, values, and tastes of a new generation of Asian-Canadians.
We have had so many more incredible experiences that we haven’t listed here. We’re so grateful for the continued support from our clients, friends, and business partners from the last 9 years. 💛 As we look forward to our 10th year, we hope to continue the growth, our client relationships, and produce even more great work!
